Leading Hand – Commercial Landscaping

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Leading Hand to join our commercial landscaping team. In this role you will lead daily site activities, ensure high‑quality delivery of landscaping and civil works, and support the professional growth of crew members.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out landscaping and civil tasks as directed by the Site or Project Manager.
• Operate plant and equipment safely and in line with site instructions.
• Lead a team of operators and labourers to complete delegated work efficiently.
• Assist site management with subcontractor coordination, material and equipment logistics.
• Set out and construct works according to contract specifications and drawings.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine upkeep.
• Identify hazards, assess risks and document control measures.
• Report incidents, accidents and injuries to the Supervisor.
• Participate actively in on‑site training and development of staff.

Required profile

• Certificate in Landscape Trade or a related field with commercial landscaping experience.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Verification of Competency (VOC) for relevant plant and equipment – desirable.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and efficiency.
