Lead Recruiter – APAC

About the role

OpenTable is seeking a Lead Recruiter for the APAC region to join its People & Culture team in Melbourne. In this player‑coach position you will own the talent acquisition strategy across APAC, manage full‑cycle recruitment and act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive full‑cycle recruitment for a variety of functions across APAC, including sourcing, screening, evaluating and recommending candidates.
• Develop and execute the regional talent acquisition strategy, navigating ambiguity and guiding the recruitment process.
• Attract and engage passive talent through creative sourcing, online databases and networking, while tracking progress in Greenhouse.
• Serve as a brand ambassador to promote the OpenTable employer brand throughout the region.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders, providing strategic recruitment advice.
• Create, maintain and analyse recruiting metrics and talent pipelines to support future hiring needs.

Required profile

• 7+ years of recruiting experience in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple searches simultaneously.
• Proven experience leading recruitment efforts within the APAC region and working through ambiguity.
• Demonstrated ability to act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience recruiting for diverse roles such as Commercial, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Engineering (preferred).
• Adaptable, results‑oriented and able to build collaborative relationships.
