Lead Procurement Officer

About the role

Lycopodium is seeking a Lead Procurement Officer to join its Project Services team in Perth. Reporting to the Principal Procurement Officer, you will manage procurement and expediting activities for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with schedules and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate procurement and expediting reporting and ensure timely information flow.
• Conduct commercial analysis and evaluate quotations to select appropriate suppliers.
• Lead the Procurement team to deliver tasks efficiently while adhering to company policies.
• Coordinate with Project, Engineering, and Process Technology teams for technical and schedule requirements.
• Implement and monitor procurement schedules against overall project delivery timelines.
• Plan, coordinate, monitor, and report on enquiries, tender evaluations, and purchase order awards.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement, expediting, transport, or logistics within engineering or construction.
• Experience on international projects, preferably in Africa.
• Strong knowledge of international and local tendering, contract laws, and regulations.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a procurement team.
• High‑level negotiation, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills.
