Lead Pharmacist – Women, Youth & Children

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position provides clinical leadership for pharmacy services across women, youth and children at Canberra Hospital and the Centenary Hospital for Women, Youth & Children. The role is on‑site and includes participation in weekend, after‑hours and on‑call rosters.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate advanced clinical pharmacy services across the Division of Women, Youth & Children.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams delivering tertiary‑level neonatology, paediatric, adolescent, obstetric and gynaecological care.
• Drive service improvement, medication safety initiatives, research, education and quality‑improvement projects.
• Contribute to strategic planning, accreditation processes and policy development.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with extensive experience in neonatology, paediatrics, adolescent, obstetric and gynaecological pharmacy.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence clinical practice and service design.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, after‑hours and on‑call duties.
• Strong collaborative mindset and ability to work with medical, nursing and allied health colleagues.
