Lead Mechanical Engineer (Mining, Minerals Processing & Industrial) - Perth

About the role

GPA is looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer in Perth to deliver projects across the Mining, Minerals Processing and Industrial sectors. You will lead technical engineering delivery, build client partnerships and mentor engineers, with a clear pathway to broader leadership roles in team leadership, client engagement and technical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and delivery of mining and mineral processing projects from concept through detailed design, construction and commissioning
• Develop engineering solutions for mining plants and equipment, complying with relevant standards and Safety in Design principles
• Prepare and review specifications, scopes of work, calculations, reports and drawings
• Lead design reviews and work with multidisciplinary teams on integrated project outcomes
• Support proposal development, client engagement and business growth initiatives
• Build relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and industry stakeholders
• Mentor engineers and support succession planning and recruitment
• Help grow and manage the Perth Mechanical team and strengthen GPA's presence in Western Australia

Required profile

• Seasoned engineer with 10+ years of relevant experience, ideally gained across consulting and operational environments
