Lead Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Ausenco is expanding its APAC Africa business into South Australia and is looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join the Adelaide team. You will be a key contributor to multidisciplinary engineering designs and feasibility studies for complex mineral processing projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop mechanical work plans and integrate them into project execution plans.
• Manage and review Engineering Work Packages to ensure budgets and schedules are met.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, datasheets, and drawings.
• Review and approve mechanical deliverables and ensure compliance with company design tools, software, codes and standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with CPEng accreditation.
• 10+ years of experience in an EPCM environment, preferably in detailed design of mineral processing plants.
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership and client liaison skills.
• Demonstrated focus on safety principles and standards.

Required skills

• Detailed design of mineral processing plants.
• Experience with copper, gold, nickel or base metals projects.
• Proficiency in engineering design tools and relevant codes/standards.
