Lead Educator (Room Leader) – Full‑Time

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Lead Educator to join Holder Early Learning Centre, a Reggio Emilia‑inspired environment that values curiosity and community. In this full‑time position you will guide young learners, support your team, and collaborate with families to create enriching learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate inquiry‑based learning programmes aligned with the centre’s philosophy.
• Lead and mentor a team of educators, fostering professional growth and reflective practice.
• Build strong relationships with children and families, ensuring clear communication and partnership.
• Maintain compliance with the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Framework and National Quality Standard.
• Oversee health, safety and child‑protection procedures, including first aid and vulnerability checks.
• Create and sustain a welcoming, safe, and stimulating indoor and outdoor environment.

Required profile

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA‑approved) – mandatory.
• Full‑time availability Monday‑Friday, 7:00 am–6:00 pm (7.6‑hour shifts).
• Proven experience in early childhood education and care.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Current or willingness to obtain ACT Working with Vulnerable People registration, First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis, Foundations of Child Safety, and Keeping Children and Young People Safe training.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
• Understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF).
• Familiarity with the National Quality Standard (NQS).
