Educational Leader – Full‑Time Early Learning Centre

About the role

The Educational Leader will head the educational team at Holder Early Learning Centre, ensuring high‑quality education and care for children. This full‑time position combines leadership, mentorship, and operational management in a progressive, community‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Promote effective relationships within the team and maintain a safe, nurturing environment.
• Support the Director with administrative tasks and centre documentation.
• Lead, mentor and motivate staff to continuously improve practice.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the Early Learning Centre, including staff scheduling and leadership.

Required profile

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, or an ACECQA‑approved equivalent qualification.
• Food Safely certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification or willingness to obtain.
• Completion of mandatory internal training and Geccko Child Safety courses (foundations and advanced) prior to commencement, or willingness to obtain.
• ACT Government Keeping Children and Young People Safe training or willingness to obtain.
• Current paid ACT Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) card or willingness to obtain.
• Legal right to work in Australia without sponsorship.
