Laundry Attendant

About the role

HammondCare is seeking a casual Laundry Attendant to join its Support Services team at an aged‑care home that provides specialised care for residents with dementia and complex needs. The role involves handling linen for both internal and external customers while supporting the organisation’s Christian mission and high‑quality care standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, launder, process and deliver professionally cleaned linen to internal and external customers.
• Communicate with managers and staff to ensure timely resolution of laundry‑related issues.
• Identify and implement improved work methods in line with HammondCare policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Commitment to HammondCare’s Christian mission and values.
• Ability to converse comfortably with residents and work in a dementia care environment.
• Understanding of safe manual handling, infection control and standard precautions.

Required skills

• Demonstrated ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
• Problem‑solving capability and high‑level communication and interpersonal skills.
