Landscape Design Officer

About the role

The Landscape Design Officer will provide professional landscape design services for council‑led projects and programmes. This role supports the Delivery Program and Operational Plan by delivering high‑quality, sustainable landscape solutions for the community.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver landscape designs for a range of council projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure designs align with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Manage design phases, from concept through to construction documentation.
• Lead and mentor junior staff, providing sound leadership and project oversight.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Landscape Architecture.
• Demonstrated creative thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Project management experience with a track record of delivering outcomes.
• Sound leadership and management capabilities.
• Valid NSW Class C driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Computer Aided Design (CAD) competency.
• Adobe Creative Suite competency.
• Sketchup proficiency (desirable).

• Permanent full‑time position (Grade 6) with a salary range of $95,321 – $111,656 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
