L1 Help Desk Support Engineer

About the role

The Missing Link is seeking L1 Help Desk Support Engineers to work onsite with a leading Australian telecommunications organisation, providing real‑time technical assistance and ensuring a seamless technology experience for end users.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite, deskside and walk‑up IT support, troubleshooting hardware, software, Microsoft 365 and connectivity issues.
• Deploy, configure and support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals and meeting‑room technologies.
• Manage incidents and service requests through to resolution using ITSM tools.
• Maintain asset records, documentation and knowledge articles, and coordinate with service‑desk teams, vendors and specialists.

Required profile

• Certificate IV, Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in IT/Deskside/Service Desk support, preferably in enterprise or managed‑services environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and customer‑service skills.

Required skills

• Support of Windows devices and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Hardware and software troubleshooting, including mobile devices.
• Use of ITSM tools and adherence to service‑level agreements.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fundamentals (MS‑900, AZ‑900), Microsoft Endpoint Administrator, Modern Desktop Administrator, CompTIA A+ (desirable).
