About the role
The Ballarat Yacht Club Café is looking for a reliable and positive Kitchen Hand to join its team. The role is mainly about dishwashing and keeping the kitchen running smoothly behind the scenes, supporting the chefs and front of house team so that crockery, cutlery, glassware and kitchen equipment are clean and ready for service.
Key responsibilities
- Wash dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and wash-up area
- Assist with basic food preparation as required
- Take rubbish and recycling out as needed
- Support the team during busy service periods
Required profile
- Strong work ethic and good attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliability and punctuality
- Positive attitude and team-first mindset
- Weekend availability, plus weekday shifts as required
- Hospitality experience is great but not essential; training is provided for the right person
