About the role
The Ballarat Yacht Club Café is looking for experienced bar staff to join its waterfront team. The role suits someone confident behind the bar who enjoys a fast-paced service environment and takes pride in delivering great customer experiences. It involves managing general bar operations efficiently, especially during busy weekend service.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of beverages, including classic and contemporary cocktails
- Provide friendly, professional table and bar service
- Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked bar
- Process payments accurately
- Monitor RSA compliance and responsible service practices
- Support floor staff and help keep service smooth
Required profile
- Previous bar experience in a busy hospitality venue
- Current RSA certificate
- Reliable availability for weekend shifts, with additional weekday work as required
- Team player with positive energy and professionalism
Required skills
- Confident cocktail mixing and good product knowledge
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stay calm under pressure
