Kitchen Attendant / Steward – Part‑time

About the role

Join the culinary team at Pullman East Melbourne as a Kitchen Attendant/Steward. You will help keep the kitchen areas clean, organized and ready for service, supporting chefs and ensuring high hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment, ensuring high quality and presentation standards.
• Rinse and load dirty crockery and cutlery, operate the dishwasher, unload and store items.
• Hand‑wash pots, wipe down benches, sweep and mop floors.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned.
• Provide clean and sanitized operating equipment to all food‑and‑beverage outlets.
• Assist and liaise with the chef on duty as required.

Required profile

• Valid Food Handler’s Certificate.
• Enthusiastic “can‑do” attitude with flexible availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, overnights and public holidays.
• Motivated, committed team player with strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Commercial dishwashing experience (desirable).
• Experience in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of stock management and general kitchen cleaning procedures.
