Key Account Manager – Safety Solutions (Perth, WA)

About the role

Reporting to the Regional Manager – West, the Key Account Manager will be based at Draeger’s Balcatta office in Perth, WA. You will drive growth of the Safety portfolio by delivering strategic, technical solutions across gas detection, flame detection, respiratory protection and related safety equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Grow the Safety product range in Western Australia.
• Engage customers across diverse industries and achieve sales budgets.
• Visit and manage relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Support and train distributors, agents and independent representatives.
• Promote Draeger products to increase market share and enhance customer experience.
• Maintain accurate CRM records for forecasting and customer management.
• Handle customer queries, present solutions, and represent the company at trade shows and events.
• Collaborate with internal segment and regional managers and assist with past‑due accounts.
• Apply a compliance‑focused mindset and ensure a safety‑first approach in all activities.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in a related field or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 3 years technical sales experience with breathing apparatus, gas detection or related safety devices.
• Strategic, solution‑focused approach to customer engagements.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong relationship‑building, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Excellent understanding of compliance standards and ability to act as a role model.
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to undergo a police check.

Required skills

• CRM (customer relationship management) proficiency.
• Technical sales of breathing apparatus and gas detection equipment.
