Key Account Manager - Pet Specialty

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑minded Key Account Manager to drive growth across pet specialty, independent retail, wholesale, e‑commerce and alternative sales channels. You will own day‑to‑day relationships with an assigned portfolio, implement account plans and identify opportunities to improve sales, distribution and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned customers.
• Support development and execution of customer account plans, sales targets and growth initiatives.
• Prepare accurate sales forecasts and keep customer and account data up to date.
• Coordinate promotions, including costings, execution and post‑promo reviews.
• Manage range, pricing, distribution and planogram activity for assigned accounts.
• Respond to enquiries on supply, service, product quality and order performance.
• Organise trade shows, sales events and other channel‑based activities.
• Monitor account spend against budgets and share market insights with internal teams.

Required profile

• Organised, customer‑focused sales professional with strong relationship‑building skills.
• Experience in account coordination, customer management or sales support within FMCG or related sectors.
• Familiarity with specialty retail, independent retail, wholesale, e‑commerce or alternative channels.
• Ability to interpret sales data, spot trends and make practical recommendations.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation and follow‑through.
