Junior SEO Specialist (Melbourne)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior SEO Specialist to join our Melbourne team. You will own client accounts, deliver SEO campaigns that drive organic growth, and develop your technical and strategic expertise through a clearly defined career path.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SEO campaigns across diverse industries, aiming to maximise organic search performance.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships via email, phone and meetings, providing clear updates on campaign progress.
• Implement on‑page and off‑page SEO tactics, including technical fixes, content optimisation and link‑building initiatives.
• Produce monthly performance reports that translate data into actionable insights for clients.
• Conduct website audits using specialised SEO tools to identify technical issues and propose remediation plans.
• Continuously upskill through internal training, workshops and one‑on‑one sessions with senior SEO leaders.
• Collaborate with the wider SEO team, sharing successes, asking questions and contributing wherever needed.

Required profile

• Based in Melbourne, Australia.
• Experience working in a collaborative environment such as retail, hospitality or university settings.
• Strong desire to learn the fundamentals of on‑page and off‑page SEO.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Google Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical, detail‑oriented and capable of managing time effectively.
• Results‑driven and comfortable building client relationships.
