Junior Project Manager – Retail Store Openings

About the role

The Junior Project Manager will support the delivery of new Oroton store openings across Australia, managing the full project lifecycle from concept to handover. Working within the Property team, you will coordinate designers, builders and suppliers to ensure projects meet brand standards, timelines and budgets. This is a 12‑month contract role, working four days a week with flexible days.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the end‑to‑end project lifecycle for new store openings, from design brief through to handover.
• Coordinate store design with internal teams, architects, consultants and retail stakeholders.
• Develop and present store layouts and space‑planning concepts aligned to brand standards.
• Lead pre‑construction and construction phases, making key decisions on layout, design and operational requirements.
• Manage tendering process, review contractor submissions and make recommendations.
• Oversee procurement of fixtures, fittings and store elements from sourcing to on‑site delivery.
• Maintain project documentation, timelines and trackers to keep projects on schedule.
• Coordinate handover of completed sites to the retail team and manage post‑completion logistics.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience in a project management role, preferably in retail store openings, fit‑outs or construction projects.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
