Junior National Account Manager – Consumer Business (Australia)

About the role

3M is seeking a Junior National Account Manager for its Consumer Business Group in Australia. You will represent the company’s consumer‑goods portfolio – including Command, Scotch, Post‑it, Scotch‑Brite and Scotch Guard – across office distributors and the Big W retail channel.

Key responsibilities

• Execute customer plans aligned with area strategy and financial targets, delivering sales, margin and price commitments.
• Develop and implement annual and quarterly customer strategies and joint business plans for key accounts.
• Drive channel growth through distribution initiatives, range reviews, promotional planning, field execution and e‑commerce programs.
• Manage pricing, rebates, commercial terms and negotiate contracts with distributors.
• Monitor forecast accuracy, conduct monthly business performance reviews and close gaps through clawbacks.
• Oversee customer incentive plans, MDF optimization and claims management.
• Analyze internal and external data to identify growth opportunities and improve channel initiatives.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing and product teams to ensure portfolio strategy execution.

Required profile

• Junior‑level experience in national or key‑account management within consumer goods or retail distribution.
• Proven ability to meet sales and profit targets and to develop strategic account plans.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in forecasting and performance review.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
