Junior Business Risk Analyst

About the role

UBS is seeking a Junior Business Risk Analyst to join its Business Risk Organisation within the Wealth Management division. The role supports risk and control activities across the Melbourne or Sydney location, working closely with front‑office teams and senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support location‑wide business risk management by performing risk and control tasks.
• Assist in reviewing operational and supervisory controls and recommend improvement solutions.
• Provide advice and support to the front office and key stakeholders.
• Collect and collate key risk statistics for reporting, using Regional KRIs, PB COO Dashboard, audit points and incident data.
• Coordinate stakeholder agreement on new or changed control procedures.
• Support audit requests, track and monitor closure of audit items.
• Conduct ad‑hoc reviews and participate in risk‑related projects under supervision.

Required profile

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with front‑office, compliance and management teams.
• Strong organisational ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Independent judgment and solid analytical assessment capabilities.
• Ownership mindset, creativity and a strong desire to learn.
• Some experience in audit, regulatory, banking or risk environments is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce or a related field.
• Curiosity about applying AI to improve workflows while adhering to policies and ethical standards.
