About the role
The Java Engineer on the Calypso Platform will design, customise and support the Calypso trading and clearing platform. The role blends development, BAU support and enhancements while collaborating with business, QA and DevOps teams.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain enterprise Java applications, REST APIs, micro‑services and event‑driven integrations.
- Provide BAU support including incident investigation, root‑cause analysis and defect remediation.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions and performance optimisation initiatives.
- Support release management, CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using modern DevOps practices.
Required profile
- 6–8+ years of hands‑on Java development in enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in Core Java (Collections, Concurrency, Multithreading, JVM internals, JDBC).
- Experience building distributed systems, RESTful APIs and micro‑service architectures.
- Proven ability to work in Agile/Scrum teams and engage with stakeholders.
