Java Developer – Agile Microservices

About the role

Auto & General is looking for Java Developers to join cross‑functional Agile teams that build highly available micro‑services on AWS. You will help create digital experiences for customers buying and managing insurance policies online, as well as internal applications that support critical business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver fit‑for‑purpose Java solutions that meet sprint goals.
• Lead solution design and contribute to modern architecture, CI/CD pipelines and AWS deployment infrastructure.
• Own product quality by establishing unit, integration and end‑to‑end testing practices.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters and other team members to deploy and support services.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java and micro‑service architecture.
• Experience with SQL, ORM, Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
