IT Technical Support Officer

About the role

We are looking for an IT Technical Support Officer to provide end‑user and migration support for a global mining operation based in Brisbane. The role involves on‑site assistance, after‑hours deployment and remote troubleshooting across Windows, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory environments.

Key responsibilities

• Support Quest On Demand Migration (ODM) activities, including pre‑migration assessments, workstation remediation and validation.
• Assist with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint Online and Teams migrations, and manage cut‑over and hyper‑care phases.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 desktop support to site personnel, diagnosing hardware, software and OS issues.
• Build, configure and deploy desktops, laptops, tablets and mobile devices, and maintain printers and peripherals.
• Administer user accounts, permissions and groups in Active Directory and Microsoft 365.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in IT, desktop or systems support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory administration.
• Experience supporting Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint Online.
• Ability to travel to remote sites for up to two weeks at a time.

What we offer

• Casual contract at $87.50 AUD per hour.
• 6‑12 month assignment with Monday‑Friday roster.
