IT System Support Engineer

About the role

Bremick Fasteners is seeking an IT System Support professional to maintain and enhance its enterprise ICT environment. You will ensure the reliability, security and performance of the company’s IT infrastructure while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors. The role is based in Rosebery, Sydney and involves hands‑on technical work across servers, networks and cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Support, maintain and optimise the enterprise ICT infrastructure to keep systems secure, reliable and available.
• Install, configure and administer Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP and Microsoft 365.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for desktops, servers, networking, enterprise applications and Microsoft 365.
• Monitor system, server and network performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Manage VMware virtualisation, enterprise storage solutions and backup systems for business continuity.
• Implement and maintain ICT security controls such as multi‑factor authentication, endpoint protection and vulnerability management.
• Conduct system health checks, security audits and compliance reviews.
• Perform routine maintenance including software updates, security patching and configuration management.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system and network issues while providing guidance to end users.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting enterprise Windows Server and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Hands‑on experience with VMware virtualisation and storage/backup technologies.
• Strong understanding of ICT security practices, including MFA and vulnerability management.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software and network problems.
