IT Support Officer – Northern Victoria (Bendigo/Kyneton)

About the role

We are seeking an IT Support Officer to deliver Level 1 IT services and operational support for a large‑scale project across Northern Victoria. The role combines service‑desk troubleshooting, hardware deployment and on‑site assistance at our Bendigo or Kyneton hubs.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for face‑to‑face and on‑site technical enquiries.
• Log, triage and manage incidents under tight, time‑critical constraints.
• Set up, configure, test and de‑commission field devices, laptops, printers and specialised operational equipment.
• Resolve routine issues such as user logins, password resets, software errors and basic wired/wireless network connectivity.
• Maintain accurate asset tracking records and documentation for all deployed equipment.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience delivering Level 1 IT support, service‑desk or field technical assistance.
• Proficiency with Windows devices, PC hardware, Microsoft Office, Teams and standard ticketing tools.
• Ability to quickly learn proprietary hardware workflows and assist non‑technical users under pressure.
• Strong communication, calm demeanour during peaks and sound escalation judgement.
• Australian driver’s licence and full work rights.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of $51.55 AUD plus 12 % superannuation.
