IT Support Officer - Kyneton

About the role

Randstad is recruiting an IT Support Officer in Kyneton, Victoria, for a large-scale project. The role provides Level 1 IT delivery and operational support across active operational hubs and field venues, combining technical service desk troubleshooting and escalation with physical hardware deployment. It is a full-time contractor position.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for technical enquiries, face to face and on site.
• Log, triage and manage incident priorities under tight, time-critical constraints.
• Set up, configure, test and decommission field devices, laptops, printers and specialised operational equipment.
• Resolve routine issues such as user account logins, password resets, software errors and basic wired and wireless network connectivity.
• Maintain accurate asset tracking records and documentation for all deployed equipment.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering Level 1 IT support, service desk or field technical assistance (2+ years).
• Full Australian work rights; a current Australian driver's licence is mandatory, and travel between local sites may be required.
• Ability to learn specialised proprietary hardware workflows quickly and to assist non-technical users under pressure.
• Outstanding communication, a calm demeanour during high-pressure peaks, and good escalation judgement.
• Political neutrality and professionalism when handling sensitive data.

What we offer

• Pay of $51.55 per hour plus 12% superannuation.
