IT Support Engineer – Sydney

About the role

INTREC is looking for a motivated IT Support Engineer to join its Sydney‑based ICT team. You will provide day‑to‑day technical assistance across the business while developing your skills through hands‑on experience and structured training.

Key responsibilities

• Build, configure and deploy new laptops and workstations.
• Support a wide range of business software and applications.
• Record and manage IT assets in asset‑management systems.
• Assist with setup and maintenance of servers and network infrastructure.
• Respond to internal support requests and service‑desk tickets.
• Maintain user accounts, desktop applications and business systems.
• Troubleshoot, upgrade and replace hardware components.
• Contribute to ICT projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for information technology and a desire to build a long‑term career.
• Strong interest in both hardware and software technologies.
• Enthusiasm for AI tools or platforms and some hands‑on experience.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and willingness to learn.
• Effective communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work well in a team.
• Proactive attitude with strong attention to detail.
