IT Support Engineer – Onsite Technical Support

About the role

AVASO Technology is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join its Site Technology Servicing team in Sydney. You will be the primary point of contact for onsite technical support, ensuring all users and hardware operate smoothly across the designated locations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite desktop, laptop, and office IT support, including smart‑hand assistance for network and servers.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot software on end‑user systems and servers.
• Onboard new users by preparing and deploying IT assets; manage off‑boarding, asset collection, and sanitisation.
• Deliver executive/VIP support and coordinate remote assistance with backend teams for network, server, and VPN issues.
• Support IP phones, video‑conference equipment, and Level 1 multifunction printer issues.
• Handle tickets in ServiceNow or a comparable ticketing system, maintaining SLA, CSAT, and incident backlog metrics.
• Manage office IT asset inventory, vendor coordination, and e‑waste disposal.
• Contribute to SOPs, runbooks, and documentation for global use.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of progressive IT support experience in a corporate enterprise environment.
• Proven ability to work independently while collaborating on in‑house IT projects.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with a focus on meeting response and resolution targets.
• Experience coordinating with external vendors and providing training or user education.
