DevOps Lead – Automation & CI/CD Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Lead to drive automation, CI/CD, containerization and cloud-native infrastructure initiatives in our Sydney office. The role requires strong hands-on expertise with Ansible, Jenkins, Azure Pipelines, Git, Docker and Kubernetes, as well as the ability to lead technical teams and improve operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and maintenance of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and manage automation solutions using Ansible.
• Design, configure and optimise Jenkins pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
• Build and maintain CI/CD workflows with Azure Pipelines and Azure DevOps.
• Manage source code repositories, branching strategies and version control using Git.
• Implement and manage containerised applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Automate infrastructure and application deployment processes to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security and operations teams to ensure smooth application delivery.
• Troubleshoot CI/CD, deployment, containerisation and infrastructure-related issues.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to the DevOps team.

Required profile

• Strong hands-on experience in DevOps, CI/CD, automation and cloud-native technologies.
• Proven experience working with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in a technical leadership or DevOps Lead capacity.
• Willingness to work onsite five days a week in Sydney.
• Active security clearance is mandatory.
