IT Service Desk & Support Technician

About the role

Join the Royal Flying Doctor Service South Australia/Northern Territory as an IT Service Desk & Support Technician. You will deliver customer‑focused IT services to staff across remote, rural and regional locations, providing timely assistance both on‑site and remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely service‑desk support for IT issues to employees across multiple sites.
• Log, troubleshoot and resolve support tickets, document outcomes and escalate unresolved matters.
• Maintain computers, networks, printers, copiers and other end‑user devices efficiently and cost‑effectively.
• Manage telecommunications equipment, including mobile phone replacements and electronic infrastructure.
• Support regional IT champions during site visits and assist with small IT projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve technical support procedures and overall service delivery.

Required profile

• Customer‑focused with strong communication, organisation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, adaptable and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Minimum Certificate or Diploma level qualification in Computer or Information Technology.
• At least 1 year of experience in IT support, including network services, Windows/iOS devices and remote desktop in a WAN environment.
• Strong hardware installation and basic fault‑finding skills, with experience managing small IT projects.
