IT Onsite Support Specialist

About the role

WSP is seeking an IT Onsite Support Specialist to deliver responsive, customer‑focused technology support across its Sydney office and regional sites. You will ensure day‑to‑day IT services run smoothly, resolve technical issues, and enable staff to work effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 2nd‑level support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, operating systems, Microsoft 365, approved business applications, connectivity and collaboration technologies.
• Deliver hands‑on deskside assistance, conduct meeting‑room health checks, and support Microsoft Teams Rooms and AV systems.
• Manage the full hardware and software lifecycle: provisioning, deployment, refresh, recovery, decommissioning and accurate CMDB record‑keeping.
• Record incidents, requests and asset activities in ServiceNow, meet service‑level targets, and create knowledge‑base articles.
• Promote cyber‑security best practices and collaborate with local, regional and global resolver teams.

Required profile

• Qualification in a computing discipline or at least 2 years of relevant IT support experience.
• Enthusiastic about delivering high‑quality end‑user experiences.
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel to regional offices as needed.

Required skills

• Desktop and laptop hardware, operating systems, peripherals, mobile devices.
• Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Office apps).
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Wi‑Fi, VPN and basic troubleshooting.
• ServiceNow, ITSM processes and ITIL v4 Foundations.
• Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Teams Rooms, audio‑visual systems (desirable).
• CMDB and asset lifecycle management (desirable).
