IT Onsite Support Specialist

About the role

WSP is seeking an IT Onsite Support Specialist to deliver responsive, customer‑focused technology support across its Brisbane office and regional sites. You will ensure day‑to‑day IT services run smoothly, resolve technical issues, and enable staff to work effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 2nd‑level support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, operating systems, Microsoft 365, approved business applications, connectivity and collaboration technologies.
• Deliver hands‑on deskside assistance, clear communication and timely resolution or escalation of incidents.
• Maintain meeting‑room technology, including Microsoft Teams Rooms, audio‑visual systems, and digital collaboration tools, and support critical meetings and events.
• Manage endpoint lifecycle: install, configure, deploy, refresh, recover and decommission hardware and software, maintaining accurate records in the CMDB.
• Record all incidents, requests and asset activities in ServiceNow, create knowledge‑base articles, and promote cyber‑security best practices.

Required profile

• Qualification in a computing discipline or minimum 2 years of relevant IT support experience.
• Enthusiastic about delivering high‑quality end‑user experiences.
• Ability to travel to regional offices as needed and maintain regular onsite presence.
• Current driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Desktop and laptop hardware, operating systems (Windows), mobile devices and peripherals.
• Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Office apps).
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Wi‑Fi, VPN.
• ServiceNow and ITSM processes, ITIL v4 Foundations certification.
• Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, endpoint management (desirable).
• Microsoft Teams Rooms and audio‑visual system support (desirable).
