IT General Controls Manager

About the role

As the IT General Controls Manager at Toyota Finance Australia, you will lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the IT General Controls (ITGC) framework, ensuring compliance with SOX requirements and supporting a robust control environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain the ITGC framework, control inventory, standards and evidence requirements across technology environments.
• Oversee monitoring of controls in access management, privileged access, change management and technology operations.
• Coordinate the technology SOX programme, including walkthroughs, recurring activities, reporting and year‑end readiness.
• Lead first‑line quality reviews of control execution and evidence before formal audits.
• Manage control deficiencies, conduct root‑cause analysis and drive remediation plans to closure.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in technology controls, IT audit, SOX compliance, risk or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of ITGC and SOX Section 404, with practical experience across core control areas.
• Proven ability to assess control design, execution and evidence quality.
• Excellent stakeholder management and the confidence to influence without direct authority.
