IT Engineer – 1 Year Contract

About the role

Cadence is looking for a proactive, hands‑on IT Engineer on a 1‑year contract to support daily IT operations at its Adelaide office. The role focuses on end‑user computing, asset management, procurement, and collaboration with global IT teams, especially during merger and acquisition transitions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support for laptops, desktops, operating systems, business applications, peripherals and collaboration tools.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and basic connectivity issues promptly.
• Support onboarding and off‑boarding, including device preparation, access coordination and equipment recovery.
• Install, configure and maintain Windows and macOS end‑user environments.
• Maintain local office IT infrastructure such as network connectivity, printers and meeting‑room A/V systems.
• Manage IT assets: tagging, inventory tracking, lifecycle management and periodic audits in the CMDB.
• Coordinate repair, replacement and disposal of equipment in line with corporate standards.
• Assist procurement of hardware, configure, test and deploy equipment for users and meeting rooms.
• Work with global IT teams on regional initiatives, system rollouts, upgrades and urgent incidents.
• Deliver hands‑on support during M&A transition phases and stabilise IT operations post‑acquisition.
• Create and maintain basic technical documentation, user guides and SOPs while adhering to security and compliance policies.

Required profile

• Proactive, hands‑on attitude with experience in end‑user support and IT operations.
• Ability to work closely with regional and global stakeholders.
• Familiarity with merger and acquisition IT transition activities.
