IT Deployment Technician – Melbourne (Hybrid)

About the role

This permanent, hybrid position is based in Melbourne and focuses on the end‑to‑end deployment and configuration of hardware and software for a national client base. You will act as the primary technical contact during store rollouts, onboarding, and hardware refreshes across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle deployment of devices and applications, ensuring timely and accurate installations.
• Coordinate hardware orders, delivery tracking, and supplier follow‑ups.
• Schedule and oversee third‑party on‑site technicians, providing remote guidance and checklist verification.
• Perform remote installations, migrations, and post‑deployment troubleshooting.
• Serve as escalation point for hardware and infrastructure issues, working closely with support teams.
• Maintain detailed ticket notes, adhere to SLA timelines, and obtain client sign‑off.

Required profile

• Strong background in desktop support, field services, or deployment work.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows 10/11 environments.
• Basic networking knowledge and solid troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and customer‑focused communication.

• Datto RMM
• MDT (Microsoft Deployment Toolkit) or similar imaging tools
• PowerShell scripting
• PostgreSQL familiarity
• Remote Access Solutions
• Vendor management experience (nice to have)
• Reporting & Analytics (nice to have)
