IT Audit & Technology Assurance Senior Consultant

About the role

Protiviti is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its IT Audit & Technology Assurance team in Sydney. You will lead high‑quality technology assurance audits for a diverse client portfolio, covering cybersecurity, cloud, data governance and more.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate complex technology risks, design testing procedures and engagement terms.
• Lead end‑to‑end execution of technology assurance audits such as ITGC, cybersecurity, data governance and privacy assessments.
• Draft impactful reports with pragmatic recommendations for management.
• Manage engagement timelines, budgets and resources to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
• Support business development by identifying new opportunities and contributing to proposals.
• Mentor and coach junior consultants, reviewing their work papers.

Required profile

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in technology assurance, IT audit or related fields.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Business Information Systems, Accounting, Audit or related discipline.
• Experience delivering cybersecurity, data governance, privacy, ITGC, generative AI and third‑party risk engagements.
• Strong knowledge of frameworks such as COBIT, NIST and ISO 27001.
• Relevant certifications preferred (CISA, CRISC, CISM, CISSP).
