About the role

Join the Treasury & Investments team at UWA to shape strategic decisions through high‑quality analysis of the university’s debt, investment and endowment portfolios. This full‑time position offers broad exposure to portfolio risk, funding strategy and executive reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor performance, risk, cash flows, valuations and policy compliance of UWA’s debt and investment portfolios and provide clear reporting and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Deliver quantitative analysis across credit, interest‑rate, liquidity and counter‑party risk; build financial models and scenario analyses.
• Support funding, refinancing and liability‑management initiatives while strengthening investment and treasury policies, dashboards and governance processes.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, economics, accounting, mathematics or a related discipline with extensive experience.
• Strong analytical judgement, attention to detail and ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights.
• Well‑developed written, verbal and stakeholder communication skills, capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling.
• Knowledge of fixed‑income markets, credit analysis, interest‑rate concepts, liquidity and treasury practices.

• Base salary $120,912 – $132,161 per annum plus 17% superannuation.
