Inventory Coordinator

About the role

A family-run Australian manufacturer of gardening, home and eco-friendly household products is looking for a hands-on, highly organised Inventory Coordinator for its warehouse operations in Melbourne CBD and inner suburbs. This is a full-time, on-site role combining inventory accuracy, warehouse organisation and system-based stock control, with the chance to lead a small team.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor daily inbound and outbound stock movements.
• Manage put-away, replenishment and stock-location accuracy, and check, record and allocate all received stock.
• Assist with inbound container planning, stock allocation and warehouse capacity management.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in the company ERP/inventory systems so physical stock matches system data.
• Work with the warehouse team so stock movements and transfers are recorded digitally, not by hand.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and help resolve their root causes.
• Coordinate regular cycle counts and assist with full stocktakes when needed.
• Keep pallet and product locations organised and reset the warehouse at the end of each day.
• Supervise a small team and support Operations Management with inventory reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in inventory control, warehouse coordination, stock control or a similar distribution/logistics environment.
• Strong knowledge of receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, dispatch and cycle counts.
• Comfortable working between the warehouse floor and using inventory/ERP systems.
• Exceptionally organised, with leadership, problem-solving and process-driven skills.
