Inventory Controller – Perth

About the role

The Inventory Controller will ensure uninterrupted supply of goods to Fortescue's operations by managing day‑to‑day inventory transactions and supporting strategic inventory analysis. Based in Perth CBD, the role offers flexible work arrangements and occasional site travel to engage with key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Use SAP and other system tools to analyse inventory settings, optimise strategy and implement changes in line with standards.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, resolving inventory‑related issues promptly.
• Manage material master data at plant level in SAP, reviewing aged inventory and identifying obsolete items to support working capital optimisation.
• Coach internal teams and customers on effective inventory management practices.
• Lead problem‑solving meetings, analyse MRP data and take corrective actions.
• Process Additions to Inventory (ATIs) according to policy and review Return To Stock requests.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in a team‑based service provider environment with the ability to work autonomously.
• Strong process and systems proficiency; quick learner.
• Personal discipline and motivation for high standards.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably with SAP.
• Knowledge of material management, inventory, warehousing, logistics and vendor/contractor management.
