Inventory Controller

About the role

Join O’Brien’s high‑performing Supply & Distribution team as an Inventory Controller based in Padstow, with a planned move to the new Badgerys Creek National Distribution Centre in 2027. You will support the supplier network, improve stock availability and strengthen internal supply chain processes.

Key responsibilities

• Create and process purchase orders on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis.
• Manage national and international suppliers, validate invoices and maintain accurate PO records.
• Coordinate container deliveries, packing lists and shipping documents.
• Review forecasts, monitor PTD sales, adjust forecasts and manage danger stock.
• Issue monthly supplier performance reports and support branches with product availability enquiries.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives.

Required profile

• Inventory management experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer‑focused mindset.
• Ability to prioritise, multitask and work independently.
• Intermediate MS Word & Excel skills.
• Automotive knowledge (desirable).
