Intern Pharmacist – Paediatric Hospital Internship

About the role

The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network is offering a 12‑month structured internship for final‑year pharmacy students who want to develop expertise in paediatric hospital pharmacy. You will rotate through clinical, operational and research areas while receiving dedicated mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in paediatric clinical pharmacy services across Randwick and Westmead campuses.
• Assist with hospital pharmacy operations, including robotic dispensing and automated medication handling.
• Contribute to quality‑improvement and sustainability projects.
• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings focused on child‑ and family‑centred care.
• Prepare for registration exams through tutorials and study sessions.

Required profile

• Completed or completing an accredited Pharmacy degree in 2026.
• Eligible to enrol in an APC‑accredited Intern Training Program.
• Strong interest in paediatric care and willingness to work in a fast‑paced hospital environment.

Required skills

• Experience with robotic dispensing systems.
• Ability to operate automation equipment in patient‑care areas.
• Knowledge of cleanroom procedures and safety protocols.
