Intermediate Mechanical Engineer

About the role

You will design HVAC, ventilation and mechanical systems for schools, hospitals, aged‑care facilities and commercial projects. You will own designs from concept through construction, present them to architects and contractors, and see your work built.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare engineering calculations and specifications for mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with structural and electrical teams to integrate designs.
• Attend site inspections and ensure compliance with Australian Standards and the National Construction Code.
• Present design solutions to clients, architects and contractors.
• Manage design documentation from concept to construction handover.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience in mechanical or building services engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and the National Construction Code.
• Clear communicator, practical problem‑solver and self‑motivated.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with Revit (bonus).
