Intermediate Auditor – Brisbane

About the role

Join Pitcher Partners as an Intermediate Auditor and work with a diverse portfolio of ASX‑listed and not‑for‑profit clients across sectors such as mining, technology, financial services, property, education and health. Based in the Brisbane CBD, you will collaborate with partners, directors and senior managers on challenging audit engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with clients to resolve audit and accounting queries.
• Gather and document audit evidence for material balances and transactions.
• Draft annual financial reports and audit work papers.
• Plan, execute and complete statutory audits in accordance with general purpose financial reporting.
• Assist senior staff on ad‑hoc assignments and other assurance engagements.
• Review junior staff work papers for straightforward audit areas.

Required profile

• Commerce or Business degree with a major in Accounting.
• Currently studying CA or CPA.
• At least 2 years of external audit experience, preferably in a mid‑tier or top‑tier firm.
• Strong understanding of IFRS/AASB, Australian Auditing Standards and relevant legislation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong client‑service skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
