Intelligence & Disruption Specialist – Cybercrime Analyst

About the role

The Intelligence & Disruption Specialist joins ANZ’s Customer Protection Strategy & Performance team to safeguard customers from fraud, phishing and malware attacks. You will work closely with technology partners and internal stakeholders to develop detection and prevention strategies that protect the bank’s digital ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Automate and optimise cyber‑crime analysis processes using behaviour‑based detection platforms.
• Detect compromised credentials and fraudulent activity through deep‑root cause analysis.
• Gather, analyse and act on cyber‑crime intelligence related to phishing and malware.
• Develop processes for big‑data correlation and advanced analytics.
• Manage relationships with vendors such as BioCatch and IBM Trusteer.
• Collaborate with Falcon technology, Digital and Business Platform Services teams to deliver the scams roadmap.
• Coach junior members of the Digital Fraud Analytics team and represent ANZ in external fraud communities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cyber‑crime, fraud detection or related security analytics.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead junior analysts.
