About the role
The Intelligence Director will lead strategic intelligence outcomes for a specific market segment or focus area within a complex, sensitive environment. You will shape how intelligence is collected, prioritised, developed and applied to support compliance, risk management and government commitments.
Key responsibilities
- Set direction for intelligence collection, analysis and dissemination across tax and superannuation contexts.
- Oversee the use of analytical methods and tools to produce actionable intelligence products.
- Ensure intelligence activities comply with ATO governance, assurance and security requirements.
- Provide trusted advice to senior executives and ministers, including briefing and strategic recommendations.
- Lead, mentor and develop analysts and managers, maintaining transparent, cycle‑aligned processes.
Required profile
- Highly driven and innovative professional with experience in complex, sensitive environments.
- Strong understanding of Australian Government intelligence practices and standards.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and deliver high‑quality intelligence.
- Leadership experience managing analysts and intelligence teams.
