Integration Architect

About the role

Infomedia is seeking an Integration Architect to lead the design and optimisation of its product's integration architecture. You will act as the key architect for API solutions and ecosystem integration, overseeing advanced technologies while mentoring junior team members and working with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture for DMS and API ecosystem integrations, turning product and business goals into scalable, secure and operable designs.
• Define and maintain the target integration architecture for dealer DMS connectivity, API enablement, data landing and ecosystem interoperability across IFM products.
• Own the integration register as the single source of truth for internal APIs, DMS specifications, patterns, ownership, dependencies and usage standards.
• Analyse DMS market coverage across regions, vendors and accounts to inform integration sequencing and maximise dealer DMS coverage.
• Standardise API and DMS specifications, patterns and design guardrails to support reusable delivery and faster time to market.
• Partner with product, engineering and account teams and external partners to shape integration roadmaps and prioritise initiatives.
• Lead architecture for the next-generation DMS integration product, including self-service API discovery, developer experience, AI-enabled integration support and embedded analytics.
• Review solution designs against architecture principles, security, privacy, standards and operational supportability.
• Mentor engineers and architects on API design, DMS patterns, event/data integration, documentation and delivery trade-offs.
• Resolve complex integration risks, technical debt and delivery blockers independently.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years in software, integration or enterprise architecture, including 5+ years in a senior architecture or technical leadership role.
• Proven experience designing and governing enterprise API architectures (RESTful APIs, API gateways, developer portals, authentication, versioning, observability, lifecycle).
• Experience with ecosystem integrations, partner onboarding and specification-led approaches.
• Experience defining reusable patterns, API standards, data contracts, canonical models and governance across product teams.
• Experience leading discovery, roadmap definition and proof-of-concept delivery with internal and external partners.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to explain API architecture to executives and teams.

Required skills

• Cloud-native integration, event-driven design, data landing, message queues, streaming, batch interfaces and operational monitoring.
• API security, data protection, access control and privacy-by-design.
• Preferred: API management platforms such as Apigee, MuleSoft, Kong, Azure API Management or AWS API Gateway.
• Preferred: automotive retail, dealer management systems, OEM/dealer ecosystems and data models involving VIN, model, parts, pricing, service and dealer data.
