Insolvency & Banking Litigation Lawyer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Insolvency & Banking Litigation Lawyer to join our securities enforcement practice. The successful candidate will work closely with a Best Lawyers Australia partner who has extensive international and cross‑border insolvency experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and representation to financial institutions and insolvency practitioners on complex banking and insolvency matters.
• Act for voluntary administrators, receivers, liquidators, trustees in bankruptcy, and both secured and unsecured creditors throughout the restructuring process.
• Handle cross‑border disputes involving the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States.
• Assist with securities enforcement and lending‑loss matters across multiple industries.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of post‑qualification experience in banking and insolvency litigation.
• Demonstrated ability to act for financial institutions and insolvency practitioners.
• Experience with cross‑border insolvency and dispute resolution is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and advocacy skills in state, federal and appellate jurisdictions.
