Infrastructure & Utilities Associate/VP – Investment Banking

About the role

Join Deutsche Bank's Investment Banking division in Sydney, focusing on infrastructure and utilities transactions across M&A, strategic advisory and capital raising.

Key responsibilities

• Support execution of investment banking transactions (M&A, strategic advisory) across infrastructure, power, transport, data centres and utilities.
• Manage and mentor analysts, lead workstreams and ensure high‑quality outputs.
• Identify client opportunities, contribute to pitch development and present alongside senior team members.
• Oversee valuation analysis, financial modelling, due diligence and transaction execution workstreams.
• Build sector competence in sub‑sectors such as airports, ports, regulated utilities, toll roads, power generation, digital infrastructure and logistics.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in investment banking, infrastructure investing, corporate advisory or corporate finance within an infrastructure or utilities business.
• Exposure to transaction execution and complex strategic, financing or investment processes in at least one core infrastructure, utilities or digital infrastructure sub‑sector.
• Strong commercial judgement, analytical capabilities and ability to assess assets, business models, regulatory frameworks and investment risks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
• Interest in infrastructure themes, energy transition and emerging sector trends.

Required skills

• Financial modelling and valuation experience.
• Well‑developed financial literacy and ability to translate technical outputs into strategic insights.
