Implementation Delivery Engineer

About the role

Altana is seeking an Implementation Delivery Engineer to join its Platform Operations & Compliance team. You will design, build and maintain large‑scale data pipelines that power network analysis, machine learning and data fusion for public‑sector customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deploy and continuously improve distributed big‑data pipelines using technologies such as Databricks, OpenSearch and cloud services.
• Ensure platform reliability, cost efficiency and compliance with security standards, supporting customer security reviews and accreditations.
• Act as the technical expert in client‑facing meetings, translating complex government requirements into platform architecture.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists and product managers to evaluate and adopt new tools and best practices for data pipeline orchestration and deployment.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or a closely related role.
• Proven experience delivering end‑to‑end data ingestion, standardisation and monitoring pipelines at scale.
• Background working with public‑sector customers and a strong focus on data security and governance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for direct interaction with external stakeholders.
