ICT System Administrator – Critical Infrastructure Support

About the role

We are seeking an ICT System Administrator to support Metro’s critical infrastructure across both on‑premises and cloud environments. The role ensures reliability and performance of our ICT landscape through a blend of business‑as‑usual support, proactive maintenance and rapid incident resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Provide BAU support by resolving incidents and fulfilling service requests.
• Administer Windows Server, desktop environments and cloud‑based platforms.
• Perform planned and reactive maintenance in data‑centre facilities.
• Execute Start‑of‑Day checks, document outcomes and address any issues.
• Liaise with vendors, support providers and internal teams to resolve problems.
• Maintain compliance with Change Management processes and keep accurate records in ITSM tools.
• Participate in on‑call support and escalation as required.

Required profile

• Proven enterprise experience supporting Windows Server and desktop environments.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Understanding of Azure AD / Entra ID concepts and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Familiarity with data‑centre operations and best practices.
